Today was a real blessing for all! We started the day with devotions and breakfast at the resort, and then our driver, Ricey, took us to the Cambridge church to begin the clinic day. Everything went fairly smoothly considering we were missing some of our medicines. We just adapted. By the end of the first day, our doctors and assistants had seen about 200 patients, performed 23 echocardiograms, did 100 lab tests, and our pharmacy still handled about 350 scripts. Our dental team saw about 40 patients and extracted 82 teeth. Some of us tried to make the gecko our official mascot, but that was voted down by the group. He provided some brief entertainment at lunch. It was a long and blessed day!!!

Hollis, love the web site! I think it is great what you and your husband are doing (and together)! What a great witness! I will continue to keep you and Mickey in my prayers. Tell Nancy hello. Dawn
We are a diverse team of Christian doctors, dentists, nurses and volunteers traveling to Black River, Jamaica, January 31 to February 9, 2009. We will be providing much needed medical care and supplies to church members at the Cambridge and Holland churches there.
