Friday Clinic
The team wrapped up our very successful week at Black River today. Our four providers ended up seeing over 1,000 patients and the dentists saw almost 200 and pulled over 370 teeth. We couldn't even keep up with the number of prescriptions we wrote, but we estimate that we gave out over 2,000 in five days. It has been a wonderful time with all our old friends in Black River and the new ones we made on this trip. The group from St. Joseph and Kansas have been blessed by the people and we started our day at the local Brompton School where they start each morning with Christian devotions and songs. The children seemed so happy. We will be having a dinner Friday evening to honor our Jamaica volunteer friends who helped at the clinic all week. Then, on Saturday, we travel to Montego Bay for a weekend of rest and recreation. Please pray for our safe journey in that the roads in Jamaica are quite the test of endurance for our driver.

All of you have done a great job.You all are GOD'S little helpers. We miss you all but you have been helping a lot of people that have needed you,and I am sure they love you for all you have done.
How wonderful. I just stumbled on your blog by mistake and was completely entralled by the good work that you all are doing. Bless you so much! It sounds like you are making a huge difference in the people's lives down in Jamaica. I hope only the best for you. I'm personally envious at your ability to travel and help. That's what I really want. I use to do alot of volunteer work in Highschool and College, but kind of fell out of it after that. The only organization that I still actively endorse is Heifer Intl. Like what you all are doing, they go straight in to impovershed regions to do good work. All except, instead of medicines, they provide tools and farm animals so that people might learn how to better their own lives and reach of level of self-sustainability where they can take care of themselves and begin to help others! Thank you for all your hard work!
